Graphic Designer- Temporary Contract
Impressions Marketing and Events seeks a Graphic Designer to support the graphic needs of our incredible clients on a temporary basis, from May 23, 2022 through August 31, 2022. If you love being creative, are organized, have an eye for detail and are willing to ensure an exceptional customer experience, this may be the role for you! We need an action-oriented person to join our team who is ready to jump in and get to work.
There is a potential for overflow work opportunities before and after this contracted time, as project needs allow.
Note: Our clients are largely in the nonprofit and education industries. The person filling this role will need to feel inspired by creating for these spaces.

Responsibilities include:

Designing assets for websites, social media, infographics and emailed newsletters;

Designing printed and digital collateral materials like flyers, brochures, invitations and magazines;

Designing large-scale projects such as billboards;
-
Designing and maintaining websites through sites such as Wix and Squarespace;
-
Utilizing brand guides for clients to maintain appropriate brand standards;
-
Creating cohesive designs for client campaigns, maintaining consistency and quality among all design components;

Reviewing print items prior to printing to ensure design quality and prevent printing errors;

Supporting the creation of presentation materials in PowerPoint;

Supporting video creation through designing elements for video;

Implementing creative elements for events;

Other graphic elements as needed.
Experience requirements include:

2+ years of graphic design experience;
-
Proficiency in working with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat, with some experience in other Adobe Creative Suite apps;

Proficiency in working with Canva;
-
Proficiency in working with website builders such as Wix and Squarespace;
-
Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps, especially Google Docs and Google Sheets;

Outstanding conceptual and visual design skills, clearly adhering to design principals;

A keen eye for detail.

Be willing to work on a short-term, contract basis while our long-term designer is on maternity leave.

Be a self-starter. Our team is small, but achieves a lot for our clients. You must be willing and able to jump in and keep projects moving forward with little direction. If you need reminders to get work done, this position is not for you.

Be an excellent communicator. You must be able to show initiative in communicating with team members to achieve desired goals.

Provide exceptional customer service. Our client relationships are important, and maintaining excellent service that goes above and beyond expectations is a must! While this position is not frequently client-facing, our service sets us apart from others, and we want to make sure you are on board with this priority.

Be dependable. We are counting on you to complete the design elements needed, and to take initiative to ensure a project well-done.

Work Independently: Most of the work completed for this position will be done remotely. You must be a self-starter, who is able to complete tasks without reminders, and without someone encouraging you to get to work.

Work as a Team: Though small, our team is mighty. We accomplish a lot of work, and the input of all team members is needed. Building positive team relationships is important, as our internal relationships are reflected to our clients.

Enjoy learning. Our industry changes, and we must adapt and change with it. If the idea of learning new technology, tools and techniques makes you break into a sweat… this is not the position for you.
Additional Details:

This is a remote position. Candidates must be in the eastern time zone.

This is an independent contractor position paying $2,600 per full month based on the expectation of 120 hours per calendar month.

The nature of this position requires consistency in work schedule, with the bulk of the work being completed during the standard work day. Scheduling will be further discussed with potential candidates.

Weekly Zoom check in meetings will be required as needed.

Ability to work evenings and weekends occasionally to complete time-sensitive work may be required.
